Manganese solution 1,000 ppm. Increases manganese in recirculating seawater systems. Increases primary productivity. Required by photoautotrophs (including zooxanthellae) for photosynthesis, pigment production, reduction of nitrite and nitrate, antioxidant activity. 1 drop (0.05 mL) per 48.1 gal. (182.0 L), or 1 mL per 961.8 gal. (3,640.3 L), once daily to maintain NSW value for S=35. 1,000 ppm manganese, derived from manganese chloride (hydrated source, USP).

Characteristics:

• Provides manganese, required by photoautotrophs (including zooxanthellae) for critical cellular functions, including: photosynthesis; pigment production; reduction of nitrite and nitrate; antioxidant activity.
• Critical for photosynthetic processes and nutrient reduction in systems employing algal turf scrubber filtration.
• Improves color intensity of zooxanthellate invertebrates.

Active Components: Manganese chloride, hydrated, USP.

Basic Application:
1 drop (0.05 mL) per 48.1 gallons (182.0 L), or 1 mL per 961.779 gallons (3,640.3 L), provides NSW [Mn]. 1 mL per 26.4 gallons (100 L) increases [Mn] by 0.01 ppm.

Reference Standard [Mn]:

• 2.75x10-4 ppm (S=35.0)​
• 3.40x10-4 ppm (S=40.0)

In established systems, increase [Mn] up to 5% of existing ionic value daily, until desired value or reference standard is reached.
